I have a student plan with SiriusXM for $5.00 per month and signed up with Audible for $14.95. When I signed up for Audible as a past subscriber, it showed that I had one credit available now and have be the option to buy 3 more credits for $36.00+tax. I put that charge on my 2nd Platinum. 3 audiobooks for $16.00, after the credit, seemed like a decent deal.
In your situation, I think you can get the digital version of the NYT for $4.00 per month. I would signup for that and/or purchase a book from Audible ala carte.
You could also pay for a 2nd Peacock subscription for a family member or friend.
