A quick Adelaide-Kangaroo Island flight (Intrastate) on a QF Dash 8 will solve that one (If I can find a fare class that accrues to AS). It is not even "safe" to book a domestic interstate flight within Australia due to the sudden lockdowns that happen here. Thanks for reminding me.

I will hold off with the request for an extension for now and ask just before expiry of my status.

On the plus side, I can think of worse places to be "stuck" other than Australia since the Philippines is not looking good right now.
