It's been around for a while, perhaps only in a few places.
About five years ago or so before I knew what it was I got nailed in Prague at an inexpensive pension / hotel
And I was speaking Czech (though I've been told I picked up a bit of an accent over the decades, so no longer speak like a total native, but still not like a total tourist
).
