Let me be more specific...

I think I am going to Sicily with a Skyteam award ticket.
A friend of mine from Holland will join me on this trip. He lives on the German/the Netherlands border; he therefore will fly with me from Düsseldorf.

As I stated in the original post, Alitalia USA offers the cheapest DUS-PMO-DUS roundtrip ticket among the 3 Alitalia regional Websites I have searched.

The hundred-dollar-question is: can my friend buy the ticket on the Alitalia USA Website for a roundtrip ticket leaving from Germany when he lives in Holland?

The price difference is 100 USD AT LEAST in the prevailing exchange rate!!!
