That said, I use the 110V to charge my devices, and the USB to charge my headphones. If somebody wants to hack my headphones... I'm not that worried, really.
When I connect my iPhone to UA's IFE on a 787, it does ask for permission. Regardless, I think if there was a security issue, evidence would have surfaced by now considering how many people fly with UA on a daily basis.
