Again a similar experience

I don’t think Amex travel has access to all published fares and is “geo locked” to the US for published fares. All of the “go to” cheap business class originating airports like CAI, CMB, etc price higher vs. direct through airline these days. This did not use to be the case…the Expedia “partnership” strikes again, it appears the in-house Amex travel agents have the same back end. I stopped relying on the “dedicated” travel councilor 10 years ago, they were anything but dedicated or reliable. The new single point of contact model they rolled out recently looks more promising.
