What the heck! Just got an email canceling a reservation I have for December! No offer to rebook at another hotel. A cancellation due to COVID would have been understandable months ago but cancelling a reservation 6 months out without offering a comparable alternative is unacceptable since all rates have gone up now.

Due to the current travel environment, The Renwick Hotel New York City, Curio Collection by Hilton has temporarily suspended operations and unfortunately will not be able to honor your reservation.
We will automatically cancel your reservation for you at no charge. If you booked a rate which required an advanced payment or deposit, we are doing everything we can to process your refund as quickly as possible. Due to the influx of cancellations, it may take up to 30 days to fully process.
If your travel plans require you to be in the area, we may have other hotels that will happily welcome you with flexible booking options.
Please accept our sincerest apologies for this short notice on the travel disruption and any inconvenience this may cause. These are difficult times for everyone affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, and we thank you for your understanding. We look forward to the reopening of The Renwick Hotel New York City, Curio Collection by Hilton and welcoming guests back.
