Using Delta ecredit for a refundable ticket
HI All,
A Delta 2021 story... I booked two domestic first class tickets with a layover. Delta rebooked us four times and each time I was able to find a better connection. Finally the connections were no longer feasible and I was able to book something more convenient on AA. Delta without hassle gave me an ecredit for my trip.
I was now trying to use that ecredit on a more expensive and refundable domestic ticket. I have no problem paying the fare difference. Now this trip is not set in stone (health of a family member) for that reason I would book a refundable ticket. IF I had to cancel would I get a full cash refund or an ecredit plus a refund on the amount I paid with the credit card?
I couldn't figure it out and the wait times as we all know are insane. What really bugs me about the wait times is that all Delta would have to have would be" hold my place and call back system" . I can live that, just not having a phone line tied up for hours.
Thanks for the help since Delta customer service is MIA, I even tried to find an email for them,
