This is (was) a cross-fleet sub for equipment coverage, and the airplane was owed back to ATL, which was made "live" instead of just a ferry. Not uncommon to turn ferries into revenue flights, especially at the last minute, if you can cobble together 3 flight attendants to work it.
This extra section took about 20 revenue pax and 60+ non-rev... they must have been happy!
