Issue with BA FF card not linked to an IB booking

Hi all,

I have an upcoming reservation with IB for Friday and my BA Silver card, though added to the booking, is not recognised as OW Sapphire in the booking. Thus, no mention of the additional 1 checked bag allowance, etc in the boarding pass.

I have contacted IB to try to see what the issue is and they are pretty much useless. Main reservation line, when I get ahold of them, points me to the IB Plus hotline, which obviously are confused by the nature of the query and say they cannot assist further because this is a BA issue (!).

There is probably a system glitch at IB's end, or maybe some system confusion with the use of the two first names on the booking vs. the names shown on my BA card.

Has anyone had similar issues in the past and should this be as simple as showing the IB person at the check in desk my BA card from my iphone so they can amend this then, or should I try to fix it beforehand somehow via phone?
