Hi all, I'm afraid that I miss something and would very much appreciate feedback on the following:

I’m flying CGK-DOH-AMS alone in this weekend.

The weekend after my wife and I need to go to NYC together.

Ideally I would return AMS-DOH-CGK, meet my wife at the airport and board a flight to NYC together, but Indonesian airport customer support tells me that I’m not allowed to transit and have to do mandatory 5 day quarantine in hotel even if I have a flight that leaves the country on the same day of arrival.

Our plan is to buy a one way ticket CGK-DOH-AMS for my wife and together board a flight to NYC on a different itinerary but on the same day of her arrival. Her Shengen visa is expired, but Dutch border authority confirms that she can transit without clearing Dutch immigration as long as she can prove she has a ticket leaving AMS.

We both have valid US visa’s and only carry on luggage.
We’ll return from the US to Jakarta together 3 weeks later.

im worried about the following things:
1. Will Qatar let her board in CGK as it’s a one way ticket and she doesn’t have a valid Shengen visa? In other words will they acknowledge the itinerary to NYC? (Different airline, but valid US visa)
2. I figure to book AMS-?-NYC for the two of us in the same itinerary, but I’d check in by myself where my wife would transit airside and wonder if that might cause issues. (While typing this I think I figure there’s no downside to booking the same flight on 2 individual bookings, but curious nonetheless)
3. I have to check NYC PCR requirements, but if it has to be very recent then my wife might have to do another PCR at AMS. Not sure if that’s possible airside.

I’m worried that I’m missing something and feedback from experienced flyers will be very much appreciated.
