AS2353 AUS-SFO First (I)
Original departure 6:40p, flight went mechanical and was rebooked next day at 7am, arrived 11.5 hours late
Phone agent who rebooked me told me to save receipts and submit them. I submitted hotel and dinner ($11) for $138.72.
Alaska's response: "I was able to look into this for you and we can reimburse for those expenses that we caused with your canceled flight. I can either offer a Discount off a future flight for 200.00 or if you want to be reimbursed please write back with your mailing address and we can send a check in the mail."

I'm currently MVP Gold and this offer seems low to me. Thoughts?
