Looks like the IC is just 14 hectares in size. 430 rooms, so a bit over $1 million per room. Maybe they're a decimal off on the price? Or waiting for some Californians to buy.

way off topic now

but the IC is located on prime real estate in Bali, and has direct access to a significant stretch of white sand beach (which is very rare now). Prime beachside land in Bali's south could easily fetch USD1,700 per metre, and it's incredibly hard to find a good plot of land like that of good size in that area. Take for example the neighbouring Le Meridien is placed on a very awkwardly shaped plot without direct beach access.
Add to that land a huge, recently renovated 5-star hotel -- I think that might be a pretty good price for what it is... if you're in the market for one that is
Even the upcoming Trump Residences (erhm) up north (in an admittedly in a less prime but still very prestigious area) in Tabanan is going for 2,000,000 to 5,000,000 dollars per unit (500m^2 to 1000m^2) and doesn't come with a beach hahah
