We were all warned, that travel to Australia was at your own risk. We were all warned, that the bubble can be paused at any time. We were all warned that when you go to Australia, should covid cases cause the border to be closed, New Zealand will not get you home, and you may have to do MIQ. I feel a lot of sympathy for the reasons these people left the country but I don't feel a lot of sympathy when people acknowledge that they were made aware of the risks, chose to take the risk, and now that the risk has hit them, say that the rules should suddenly change...
While I agree in general, the banning of flights from WA, SA, VIC and Tas seemed extreme. Even QLD with now just 3 cases. If I had been in Hobart coming back on the direct flight Sunday afternoon. I would have been very annoyed.
