The front desk agent, who I later found is the front desk manager, offered no explanation of the properties amenities or features. After being given keys, I had to ask for directions to the room. It was unusual to have to pry information about the property from the front desk staff. I have had more hospitable check in experiences at Hyatt Place hotels. I'm still not sure what, if any, Globalist perks this property provides. Apart from the odd check in, our stay has been lovely. We would have appreciated an upgrade but the regular king room we received is more than adequate. The food so far has been spectacular and I second a previous posters comments on the lobster Benedict, a must have for breakfast. We are dining at Manta tonight and very much looking forward to it.
Glad you liked the lobster Benedict as much as I did. That was my recommendation. I think if I was on a breakfast episode of "Best Thing I Ever Ate," I'd talk about that. I actually just finished a stay at Thompson Beach House Playa Del Carmen where they had a smoked pork and bone marrow benedict. It was good but did not touch the Cape's.
