I had a recent Prive booking which reflected the updated room on the app almost immediately after hotel confirmation.
However, I have two other bookings at different hotels for which I received "confirmation" emails that I was upgraded, but the app still shows the original room I booked.
I'm not too concerned as I try and book rooms I know I'll be happy in, but hotels are booking out and I'm not expecting an upgrade at this point.
What's everyone's experience with confirmed upgrades via Prive?
The correct way is that they do not. The reservations manager confirms them in Hyatt’s opera system which unfortunately does not talk to the reservation system until a few days before the client check ins. There are a few hotels that confirm the room upgrade by changing the clients actual reserved room type on the Hyatt confirmation - which then updates on the app and Hyatt website.
