Sort of unrelated, but anyone have any recent experience picking up vehicles from either the LAX Marriott or LAX Hilton HLEs?

Planning an upcoming rental and the price from those locations is less than half of the LAX location, but know my chance of a "sorry, no car" situation is exponentially higher. ​​​But for the price difference figure it's worth a try. Even the non-Hertz options at the airport locations end up $100+ more.
