I would tend to agree with this. I'd be very surprised if they achieve those MCE prices for a two-hour flight. AA's RM is not that sophisticated; their uncompetitive F pricing often works to the advantage of elites, since it leaves F seats open for upgrades. Same ultimate effect here, with MCE seats effectively reserved for late-purchasing elites.
