As a former Hertz agent there is a way for the representative to add your Gold number at time of rent - as long as they know what they're doing. On the initial start screen when the agent enters your DL info and swipes your card, there is a box where your Hertz number can be entered. This may not change your rate, unless you have a specific CDP entered in your account. It's best just to rebook with your number on your own, as some agents probably won't know how to do that at the time of rent.
