TIMATIC still shows that transfer is still possible but the Turkish speaking Saudia hotline agent ( probably someone from the Istanbul or Ankara office ) told me that it isn't possible with the current restrictions and was really confident that I could get a refund as this is not my fault. I don't want to risk it as the political situation between Turkey and Saudi Arabia wouldn't get better soon so I just hit the refund button through Priceline and I'll probably purchase this ticket through another airline.
