The agent told me that currently I can't fly from Turkey to Saudi Arabia due to the travel ban imposed by the Saudi Arabian government for passengers arriving from Turkey, thus told me that I can't select seats and wait until KSA opens their borders for arrivals from Turkey. He told me that if the restrictions doesn't lift by my travel date ( 2nd half August ), I would receive a full refund but I could still hold on to my reservation.
I am not sure if I should cancel this ticket within the 24h cancellation window as I booked it through an US OTA.
I don't want to deal with chargebacks and complaints, etc... so I am lenient towards a cancellation.
Just an alert for those who booked this trip.
Also, the KSA does not permit transfers over 12 hours without a transit visa and if the Winter schedule gets chopped like the summer schedule; there would be no IAD-IST options with a layover shorter than 12 hours. ( For those who have booked a JFK flight would not run with the 12h issue as JFK-RUH-IST is possible on the return ).
So even if it is less than 12 hours in SAudi Arabia we are not allowed to tranzit?
This is bad, when did this started?
