I possibly agree with you that design will not be a strength, however I did not address it in my comments for the moment because I should probably wait to see with my own eyes first before criticizing, plus the fact that it's to some extent more of a personal preference so maybe I will not like it, but I realize maybe others will. And the TPG review was for an entry level room on points, most likely I will be in a suite there so I will care more about the design of the suites, not the basic rooms.
Perhaps the more objective issue about the hotel itself (unlike the design) will be its construction quality - I am curious whether (1) they cut corners on the quality of the materials, and (2) whether the work was done professionally or poorly. It is very difficult to find top notch contractors in Bermuda (if you want StR quality), many times you pay a lot of money for the best available construction company and end up with average workmanship, simply because you cannot achieve Swiss or German quality there, even if you import the highest quality materials from overseas.
