Southwest has always, to an extreme, cancelled for weather. However, in the past that is mainly in winter where they are concerned that planes get stuck at airports with snowstorms. They are now taking this philosophy to the extreme and cancelling for thunderstorms when being stuck at an airport is not an issue.

I do not blame anyone for booking away from Southwest for this ridiculous behavior.
