AA F rules!
I am afraid that I could not say that about my last endurance test at AA. LAX - LHR. No one was rude but service was perfunctory and more items were forgotten than remembered. Were it not for the Tier Points I would really not choose American for the time being as they seem to have become US Air in all but name.
USAir in all but name pretty much sums it up. I started flying AA in earnest (defecting from the LH group/UA in the US) during the Horton years, and it definitely was a different airline then.
Too bad BA is such a huge PITA when it comes to flying with (service) dogs. Flown on BA only twice with the dog, and decided that the hassle wasn't worth it going forward. But staff were fabulous on both trips.
