RAVPower should remain around at their current quality level, for the short-term at least. Will be interesting to see how things change given their cash flow is getting cut off... perhaps SunValley will set up another brand to get back on Amazon.
Funnily enough, RAVPower is currently advertising a ‘Prime Week’ discount right on their store’s front page.
Actually I have an HP Spectre which is a couple of years old but not sure those USB-C ports are suppose to be used to charge it. Would be great if it does, because the HP power brick is larger than that RAV charger.
Spectres since the Skylake CPU (Intel 6th gen) refresh should be fine, those appear to be when USB-C was introduced into the Spectre line-up.
[EDIT]Huh, perhaps
not all Spectres w/ USB-C can charge over the USB port; I forgot the 15” versions exist and can take over 100W. It would be interesting to know which model yours is and if it does actually work.
My mother’s Kaby Lake 7500u 13” x360 actually only charges via USB-C, IIRC. It definitely works fine with my Innergie 60c, and I think her 18W Samsung adapter worked too.
Still, can’t discount the possibility of compatibility issues with other third party chargers, I guess.
