You won't lose the voucher but they will usually say that the fees must be paid with
the amex - when, in practice, (mostly) it is
any amex. In the past, we cancelled and re-booked a 241 despite the card that had originally earned the voucher having long since been cancelled. The refund went to the closed card and we paid for the new fess with a new card without any issues.
That said, on a recent mammoth re-booking saga with a convoluted FTV which had originally been 2 one-ways, and a 241 voucher which had originally been in my partners name, all done on the phone, they insisted on using
her amex to pay the additional fees.
The Ts and Cs do say this:
15. Cardmembers must remain eligible for use of the Companion Voucher in accordance with these Terms and Conditions and the British Airways Executive Club Terms and Conditions at the time of travel. British Airways and American Express reserve the right to refuse to issue or honour any Companion Voucher in the event that the Cardmember is in breach of the terms of the British Airways American Express Card or the British Airways Executive Club Membership.
