Personally I think Homewood Suites are overall the best widely available suite option of the Hilton brands. Seems to have at least a little more space than an Embassy Suites and I personally really like having a kitchenette that has a decent fridge, microwave, etc. They also don't have that atrium of the Embassy Suites which funnels all the noise from the downstairs bar. Most HGIs suites have that same junior suite look that a Hampton does aka an elongated room although I have stayed at lest 2-3 HGIs which had French doors separating the bedroom from the living room area. Since I primarily travel by myself I find often I actually prefer Junior Suites even at Hiltons/Doubletrees because they tend to feel so spacious whereas a comparable proper one bedrooms suite can feel smaller even though it has at least as much sq ft or slightly more. A big/decent sized suite is a different matter but fits more in the special treat category.
