Would it make a difference if we were Gold with AA? (which we are, we just don't have lots of AA miles).

First time booking a partner with AS miles...and why are there huge taxes only going from LHR to the US? US to LHR is a steal.

And also, given that we are AS MVP and AA Gold, if we need to cancel, will all the miles be put back into our AS account without penalty? What if it is next year (when the flights will be) when we no longer will be AS MVP, but rather AS kettle? But we will still be AA LT Gold?

yes

you need to first finish the AS booking

then get AA conf number
log on to AA site and pick seats

did it booking my oneway flight I just completedusing miles
