There are so many luxury safari lodges and tour companies out there we are a bit overwhelmed by all of the information and reviews. If anyone has a particularl lodging/accommodation they would recommend I’d love to hear about it. Looking for about a week of doing game drives and spotting the Big 5 among other incredible wildlife. That's really exciting and sounds like you're in for a great time!
You're spot on about the range of safari lodges and accommodation options available. I would recommend somewhere near or in the Kruger National Park. There are tons of beautiful lodges in or near the Kruger, such as in the
Thornybush Game Reserve at the Royal Malewane. Sabi Sand Game Reserve is another incredible place to spend your safari vacation.
I highly recommend booking a flight to Johannesburg, rent a car, and travel to one of the surrounding reserves.
