I am a Star Alliance Gold Member and read some conflicting reports about free baggage allowances on Olympic Air / Aegean Airlines inter-islands flights and was hoping you could clear things up.

As a Star Alliance Gold Member am I entitled to have a free piece of luggage when traveling between islands (with a layover in Athens)

Their website clearly states Miles+Bonus Gold Members* and Star Alliance Gold Members have the right to carry free of charge, one additional piece of baggage, regardless of the fare family they are travelling with (32kg in Business and 23kg in Economy Class). *The benefit is also available on Olympic Air flights.



Please let me know your thoughts.
