It's not ideal as I know you value the location near the NEC but as it's located a short train journey from New Street have you considered booking the Hampton or HGI in the city centre as an alternative to ensure you get the credit?
(It is also worth checking to see if they're run by the same management company as the airport HGI, as they may be able to transfer your reservation there)
