Isn't a Versa a compact? If that's what you booked then you shouldn't have been sent to the PC area even if you were PC (needs at be least a midsize/intermediate booking)! Clearly something very screwy going on there. If they were incorrectly sending multiple people to the PC zone then it's not surprising that PC was out of cars.
I agree. I rented with the AmexPlat code so was not sure if they upped me because of that? Thought it was strange but figured it could be like some of those elusive flight upgrades you get on full flights. Best was I got upped at the gate as a silver to J on a MSP-AMS DL flight because it was oversold and instead of putting some rando in J, they based it on status, regardless of how low the status was. That was a unicorn experience I am sure I will never see again.
