22. (1995)An exhaustive search through the myriad pages of my full sized OAG has revealed that there are only three flights each day between the state of Maine and the state of New York. Two of the flights depart Portland, both of them heading to the same New York airport. Both of these flights use the same aircraft type. The other flight departs Bangor each day, heading to a different airport and utilizing a different aircraft type. Identify the two ME-NY routes, the airline serving them and the aircraft type employed on each route.
Well, this is 1995 ... PWM-ALB could have perhaps been United, with a 737 of some ilk (I suspect a -300 being more likely than either of the smaller brethren, esp if the flight continued to Chicago/ORD) ... as for DL's MadDog out of BGR, none of their upstate destinations (BUF/ROC/SYR) make much sense, but Newburgh/SWF is slightly more likely from a geographic standpoint
Alrighty then - you've correctly identified PWM-ALB and BGR-SWF with the MD80.
FWIW, Delta is the airline of record in both cases here, however it did not employ a 737-300 on the two flights between PWM and ALB run. Instead, it flew a ___________
