I am globalist but likely won't keep it past Feb 2022 because of a job change. So I want to capitalize on globalist benefits while I can (free breakfast get in my belly!). My wife and I are pretty active and won't want to just sit at the resort the entire time but certainly love a quality beach. We love to scuba, snorkel and hike. Quality food options that aren't crazy expensive are also important to us.
If you had to pick between the 4, where would you go? The number of points doesn't matter in this case. I didn't include hotels in Mexico but if something is worth it, let me know! We did go to Aruba already and absolutely loved the Hyatt there but we are the type of people that rarely go to the same place twice.
2. Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana
- bonus of all inclusive and direct flight but almost 5 hours
Thanks so much for your input!
If it's snorkel and hiking you're looking for then this is not the place. I don't recall if there were scuba outfits at the resort or the beach but I doubt it's anywhere near the resort. They do have the hobie sailing and that was fun but it fills up pretty fast. Depending on who you ask for food, some will say it was a hit, others, like myself, will say it meh and has ways to go to improve.
I guess the one benefit is if you're trying to hit the brand explorer award you could stay one evening at the ziva and remaining at zilara.
