IF there is any other way for you to talk to AA than other by the phone, please do yourself a favor and NEVER EVER call them. The rep I am speaking to know is barely understandable, her english is so poor. I just got done explaining to her that I needed some AAdvantage Miles reinstated from a cancelled trip (I used the first leg and then 2nd leg of trip was cancelled so it was not automatically reinstated). She put me on hold and then came back on the phone to say that she can't give me miles for a trip because I used miles to purchase it.
