The snorkeling at the Andaz Papagayo is meh. Beach at hotel so-so but Beach Club is very nice. Been twice and will return , great hard product and I’ve found the soft product very good as well (I’ve heard of service issues but haven’t experienced them).

it’s a great destination, but not for snorkeling and I’m guessing not as good as the Caribbean for diving. Haven’t been to the other places

Cozumel has world class diving and it’s not that long a ride to some of the dive sites from Playa Del Carmen. Maybe Andaz Mayakoba has good options too.
