Tried to pick the most recent thread to reopen. Planning a weekend in Miami in 2 weeks. Young couple, no kids.... plan to spend days in the hotel's pool/spa and at the beach, nights in South Beach. Looking for a nice hotel/resort environment which has me leaning towards the Bal Harbour (tentatively booked a North tower room on points) but am wondering if for the 40% more points, perhaps I would be better trying to book a suite at the Miami Beach Four Points.

Most of the praise of the Bal Harbour seems to be as a great family resort. We'll have a car so driving to SoBe is OK and if we go to the clubs we don't mind a $25 cab ride that night. Want the best "non-family" option

Any thoughts?
