This is Sapphire. QF Silver is Ruby, BA do not have an equivalent level. Sapphire entitles you to J lounge access, etc. Ruby gets you practically nothing.

Notwithstanding this, working my way up seems to be a better option than staying with BA just now. The only real issue is that the BA AMEX I have offers me a free companion ticket when I redeem miles so I am attracted to this in a big way !</font>
Swings and round-abouts, I suppose. One program offers you some benefits you can use, another program offers you other benefits you can use, and never the twain......
Probably have to study the programs, compare them using YOUR travel patterns, and see what works best for you.
