2. Kindly ask the Delta agents in ANC to tag my bag to exit baggage check in ATL so I can l leave. Dumb idea?

The DL App should give you an option to re-book. If you click the link to change it, there is an option to change to a nearby airport. Just change your flight to end in ATL (it’s close enough to CHA that it should be listed as an alternate airport).
