We were at a pølsevogn on Kongens Nytorv today that accepts cash just in case. But I don’t remember the last time I used cash in Denmark, certainly not since a few years ago when I got a Danish debit card which I tap so often every day that I am reminded of just how much fun it is.
But before then I used an American debit card at Danish ATMs and a no foreign transaction fee credit card for purchases (which I had to sign). Amex was generally the toughest, though it worked most of the time. I should really revisit some American cards in Denmark.
