When I was here about a month ago, I saw people buying food at the grab and go place and eating it at tables in the bar, which is open to the lobby. I even saw a large group take over an area and bring their own messy outside F&B. At the same time, the bar was selling both food and drinks, with the food apparently being from the restaurant's dinner menu (served using restaurant dishes and cutlery, not plastic), so this seemed rude to the servers and the bar customers.

The grab and go place has a large menu as well as some indoor and nearby outdoor tables.

At worst, if dinner is no longer being served in the bar, one could get grab and go food to combine with a drink at the bar. However, IIRC from a previous stay, the grab and go place sells wine and beer that can be taken to one's room. IIRC grab and go is open 24/7, but with a more limited menu in the middle of the night and there might be a mandatory "closing time" for alcohol sales in CA or LA.

In some ways, the bar is more pleasant than the restaurant, which is a plain and windowless room, reminiscent of some hotel function rooms. It's nice to watch people in the lobby.
