My flights from LAX-ATH-LAX in J got cancelled. The flights they rebooked me on arrive later, and have a worse layover in LHR. I was unable to get ahold of someone at British airways. So someone from corporate reached out to me, and she has been very helpful.

But she’s only allowing me to re-book in and out of LAX or within 375 miles. Whereas flights from SEA or ORD would work out a lot better but I’m not allowed to use that departure city according to her since it’s too far.

Two questions: where is she getting this 375 mile rule? Am I allowed to rebook onto codeshare flights?
