I just learned that you can book a companion ticket so complex that you cannot make changes to it online or via text chat. HNL-PDX, MFR-SEA-JFK, JFK-SEA-MFR doesn't seem that crazy to me. Text chat agent told me "you've got a lot going on there" and said I'd have to call in any changes. I'm choosing to hear that as "nice work."
