If driving the extra hour doesn’t bother you, PBI is smaller and easier to negotiate. I’ve made similar choices. ATL was closer to my former home by 15 minutes, but BHM was just so much more convenient despite adding a leg to every flight. Orlando traffic can get ugly. But if you arrive early, MCO is a better place to spend an hour before your flight, however.
