gmail also supports aliases. In addition to that ... you can always roll your own ....

The +anything thing is not gmail specific, it's part of the standard, so anybody should be able to do that using any email service, but you should probably test it first. Once in a while (not very often) I come across forms that won't accept the plus sign despite the fact that it's legal in an email address.
