I'm beginning to believe that paying for reviews is analogous to steroids in sports: the original narrative was that only the weaker brands, just like marginal pro athletes with steroids, needed to pay for reviews. I've been very happy with my most recent RAVPower purchases (and didn't get paid or given free product to review them) so it really shows that even bigger players with decent products are feeling the pressure to boost their reviews.
