I had another award booking IAD-CDG-IAD for me and my wife, and the return segment was just cancelled yesterday. I was auto-rebooked onto another non-stop AF flight, which leaves about 3 hours earlier (1:30pm departure instead of 4:30pm departure). I called Delta about moving my return to the non-stop AF flight on the following day instead (so we could make a commitment on the morning of our original departure day). I was expecting to be turned down since there was no award availability. Even though the schedule change was just a few hours, the agent reached out to AF and they made the change to the following day without any fuss. Color me impressed!
