Well, then we have very different experiences and go to very different places and shops. Hell, even Systembolaget accepts AMEX... but given their absurd prices can for sure afford it... There are just three types of money I use, the AMEX, the MasterCard and direct wire-transfer/bankgiro/eFaktura to get through my daily life. And if I look at my bank-account statements, 90% of retail charges are on the AMEX, 10% on the MasterCard.
But I agree, you cannot go wrong with a MasterCard.
