In the UK, this is standard practice for Centurion and Platinum cardmembers: you receive two cards, with different numbers, one with 'A.C' appended to your name. American Express calls this an 'Additional Card', as differentiated from 'Supplementary Cards' that are issued to third parties. On my Centurion account, it's numbered as if Supplementary Card number one.
