That quip made me laugh on an otherwise gloomy day. Thanks. Anyway, yeah, there's certainly a tradeoff. Taking your rail-travel example to an extreme, I could spend six days aboard a Cunard ship to get to Europe vs. six hours via air. But
days on comfortable trains or
days aboard luxurious ships hardly compare to the mere
hours of difference with sonic vs. subsonic air travel. It's a small tradeoff for comfort.
